A lot of my friends love playing Dragon Age and are anticipating the new one coming out, so I was wondering if I should give it a shot. As stated in the question, I'm almost 17 and I've only really played games on Nintendo DS and playstation 1/2. It sounds pretty good from what I've heard so far but I don't want to buy it without being totally sure. Oh and I want to buy it on PC. (Since I don't have an Xbox)

Dragon Age Origins is pretty hardcore. Some knowledge of traditional RPG mechanics is recommended. It's a very tactical game and puts you in control of four characters at a time. The game does have a 'casual' difficulty setting for people who have little or no experience playing traditional RPGs.
It's overall a very good game. The music is atmospheric, the game features nice locations, etc. The story is not BioWare's best work but it's decent enough to make you enjoy the 40 hours of gameplay.Dragon Age for a 17y/o not-so-experienced gamer?
Yeah, sure, why not? I think it's a great game and if you really want to play it, then I think you'll get a lot out of it. It's a sort of fantasy rpg, if your into that then yeah it's great. Stick it on easy mode if your stuck :)

Dragon age 1 was good but it might be a little too fiddly and involved for you, it depends on your personality. They are both story based games but there is a lot of stuff like assigning stat points choosing strength or dexterity or picking which armour to wear based on it stats.
Some people just don't have the patience for that sort of thing (my brother doesn't).
Dragon age 2 is more actiony, so it might be easier to just jump straight into number 2. The story does assume you know stuff from number 1, but it isn't vitally important. You could just ask your friend for a quick summary of what the the original game was about and roughly what happened.
The demo has already been released too so you can test it out before you buy it to see if it suits you before the full game is released.

I think it will be very good, if it's a role-playing game and it is distributed by bioware then chances are it will be awesome.

For RPGs, try Fallout 3, it's by the same people of Oblivion, but more of a Fable 2 like feel to it, not as complex as Oblivion, so you're good.
For A turn-based RPG, Final Fantasy 13 is really good, however, be prepared to spend a lot of time on it.
Lost Planet 2 is a good game for you and your buddies. It has a good co-op mode.
Red Dead Redemption is either out or coming out very soon, (within the month). Like GTA in a Wild west setting, where you can do anything and everything basically.
Mass Effect 2 to is a very good game, the story and such are stellar and will get to you even on an emotional level, every small thing that you do can impact the ending of the game. Also if you played the first one, you can import a character, changing the story line again. However, just Mass Effect 2 is a great standalone game.
Also, try getting the DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, Fable 2, and AC2
You maybe interested to hear that Fable 3 and Force Unleashed 2 are announced to come out.
Grand Theft Auto IV is a great game...any call of duty game...

So about a month ago i bought Dragon Age Ultimate Edition. i decided id play through origins with my sibling first before installing the second disc (awakening, dlc's, etc). Well, i put in the 2 disc and it told me error: please insert hard drive. so i plugged in my already xbox formatted external hard drive and that message still keeps coming up! I played it on the xbox box and hated hated hated it horrible graphics and horrible control system and layout. I then got a copy for the PC and it was brilliant the ui style is a little like world of warcraft. My pc is the roughly the same specs as yours and im happy playing it bit glitchy but still you could always upgrade you PC perfect excuse i think :DDragon age Origins Question!?

I have a number of games (Assassins creed 2, Dragon Age:Origins, etc) that have downloadable content. I was wondering if there was any way that I could get this content without Xbox Live (using Ethernet or something)?

Hi I was thinking of getting Dragon Age. Ive researched and was wondering a few things:
-Should i get Dragon Age Origins or Dragon age 2?

Ok so today i got Dragon Age Origins, again -_-. Anyway... I have been without (xbox live worthy) internet for a while so i never got the DLC for Dragon Age Origins or even finish it! So now i got the Ultimate Edition giving me all the DLC. So now i have to make an order in which to do them! I don't have any clue as where to start! So should i finish the Origins i have started or should i do the other stuff to get the bonuses? Where should I begin?

i have an xbox that reads burnt copies of games. and the games i have to sell with it r mlb 2k10. nba live 2010. madden 21.modern warfare 2. borderlands. dragon age origins. tiger woods 2010. and gears2. this xbox can also still play regular copies.How much could i sell my modded xbox 360 for?
Personally I would never purchase a used XBOX but if my budget forced me to then I would absolutely never purchase a known modded console because the risk of banning nullifies the whole point of the console for me.
XBOX live is so much fun that I've dealt with RROD and E74 on both of my boxes ... and don't mind because the exclusive titles and fun on live iwth friends far out weighs the temporary inconvenience while it was out for repair.
Also, weekly updates and some new title discs contain updates that could render the modded box inoperable.
For those reasons you'd be better off selling the XBOX off as a used XBOX with a few titles and broken ENET - you might get as much as $125 for the bundle.

I'm a warrior, I have no option to duel him, i'm even playing on casual and I can't get him with my entire party, I can't even get it so it's just the Arishok, his goons are still there, especially the freaking mages. I have to play as anders in my party to even have a shot, can someone please help me? It's for the xbox, and i'm not a hardcore RPG gamer so try not to be too technical. I've failed so many times, just thinking of giving up but the storyline is awesome and I want to get to Act 3! HELP PLEASE!!!!How the hell do I defeat the Arishok on Dragon Age 2?!?!?
Pause. A lot. That quick-action radial menu is there to help you. You get a mostly unobstructed view of the battlefield, heads-up display included. Every few seconds, jump into the menu and check the health of each of your party members. Anyone injured should get a potion, preferably an elfroot or other reasonably powerful one.
That being said, the battle itself. I need to know who's in your party and what Hawke uses for a definite answer, but with my team (Hawke/Anders/Aveline/Varric) the best bet is to treat the Arishok as a minor nuisance until you've cleared the field of some of the less resilient enemies. Go around killing mages and archers to make the job easier. REMEMBER TO KEEP CHECKING YOUR HEALTH. Once you've cleared out most of the enemies raining attacks upon you, focus on the Arishok with your entire party. He's a lot less frustrating when everyone in your party is fully focused on him.How the hell do I defeat the Arishok on Dragon Age 2?!?!?
It's usually the mages that end up killing me. I played through it first time as a warrior, one handed. Did not have good armor, i suppose a decent weapon. Anyways, that is not really why i am asking for help. I need help with my second play through, i rushed through it first as a warrior as i said and on easy mode. I did not recruit isabella. And i did not do side quests or companion quests. I am however going to do that in my second play through, but i need some advice. I am starting out as a male rouge (i will be using knives/swords.) Duel weapons. I need to know what skills and what class my hawke should learn/be and what teamates i should have around him and what skills they should major in. (This is the xbox 360 version.) Dragon Age 2 Loyalty of the Prince achievement?
I downloaded the Exiled Prince DLC for xbox 360 about a week ago and so far every achievement has been unlocking fine. However I managed to get Sebastians friendship up to 100% today but the 'Loyalty of the Prince' achievement won't unlock. I've looked around the internet and there was a known bug with the achievements that was fixed by re-downloading the DLC but that was 3 months ago! Surely when I downloaded the DLC last week I should of downloaded a clean fixed version? and everything's fine except for that achievement?Dragon Age 2 Loyalty of the Prince achievement?

Corrupt DLC Dragon Age 2?
So, I purchased the Signature Edition of DA2, therefore it came with DLC and extra bonuses with it. For downloading the DLC, I had to go to a friend's house because I did not have a wireless adapter at the time. He said to make an xbox live account so I can download it onto my harddrive. I brought my harddrive over, put it into his xbox 360, and I used the redeem codes to redeem the extra DLC. We checked it, it worked, we were done.
Now, when I took it back home, I tried playing it again, and it said it was corrupted DLC and I could not play my saved games from before, and it said it must be redownloaded. So, I borrowed a wireless adapter from someone and tried redownloading it. Still wouldn't work. It would only work on the random xbox live account I created to download it with, but that's not my main profile, it's a random account I made with xbox live. I heard you have to have a license transfer for me to be able to play it again from my main profile, but that would mean doing a license transfer for all of my friend's other content from his xbox to mine.
Is there some way I could fix this without having to buy the DLC to play it? I've tried everything I could think of. For my friend, he had no idea what I could do, because he thought all of this would work out just fine the way I did it.Corrupt DLC Dragon Age 2?

It's one of my favourite games. I would stay away from it if you dislike violence and depressing themes. For some reason, the first few times you play it, you get a weird sense of depression and an overall weird feeling from the game, but in my opinion, that's what makes it such a good game.

Dragon Age 2: Signature Edition problem?
I borrowed this game from a friend recently and started playing it etc. I got all the way up to the part when you get off the boat at the very beginning. I did not play the game a lot and I barely just started playing it. I played all the way to the part when the dwarf (I don't remember his name) shoots that thief and gets you your money and tells you all that about the journey they are trying to fund. After that I decided to turn the game off and go to bed. The next day I go to play the game and it is telling me I can't play on my previously saved file and the auto saves for it because I don't have the neccesary DLC. It has happened on two different occasions. I don't even have Xbox Live on my Xbox that I am using so idk where it got the idea that I had DLC saved. I deleted all my profiles and tried again except this time I saved right away when you barely start escaping the city with your family. After I saved I turned it back to the menu and it lets me play the game. Then I tried going to the Xbox dashboard and then reloading the same saved game and it lets me play still without telling me anything about missing DLC. It lets me play the game just fine until I am off the boat and then turn the game off because that is when it says I need DLC. Then, ask he/she if you can trade the items you have. You have to have a receipt every time you trade things. Sometimes it doesn't matter. But I would consider carrying a receipt just in case. Believe me, I've traded a lot of items before.
TIP: Make sure you get something the same price of your item. If you know what I mean.
THE SAD PART: You can never get money from trading items, supplies, etc.

Help with Dragon age 2!?
I'm at the end of act 2 in my second playthrough. So you know the point where the Mage Qunarie guy gets killed by meradith? Well she does her cutscene that starts "I know you, hawke appears in my reports often" and blah blah then I figh till I find the first enchanted then they argue and I decide who leads then I go up steps to vicounts keep and when I kill everyone it loads then it goes back to the cutscene where you meet Maradith again! But when it's over everyone is still dead and allies still waiting on steps but meradith is gone and I can't continue! Even if I go to keep I can't enter it

Bugs in Dragon Age 2 Worth Getting?
I'm thinking of getting the game but I was wondering if any one has encountered any bugs or game breaking bugs? I'm worried about getting the game and then having the bugs were it skips some dialogue or stuff in quests don't trigger. Or load screens freeze. Because you see I can't patch it because I don't have a Network Adapter on my Xbox 360.

Dragon Age 2 signature edition problems?
okay, I have just got my pre-ordered DA2 SE with codes for the items and DLC, the Black Emporium and Exiled Prince work, how ever when I redeemed the code for the Bonus Content on my Bioware Account (which say's I now have the content on my game) I do not recive any of the items(fadeshear, lion of orlais, might of sten, ect...) except for Lotherings Lament and The Cliffs of Kirkwall. I have checked both chests in the house but those 2 books is all I get and yet It says that they are in the game, I am using my same account on Xbox Live. Is there anything I can do? i own a xbox 360, and im a fan of both RPG and FPS games.

I feel like a noob asking this, but ah well.
My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 9800
and my processor is a AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core Processor
Now heres the thing, my computer mostly meets the RECOMENDED requirements for DA2 (My cpu speed is down by about .6 GHZ) So it should run smoothly however dragon age origins has some problems with my computer. It tends to lag after more then 20 minutes of play time and sometimes to point of really making it suck, i dont know if the fact i pirated it has anything to do with it (Its justified piracy i think, i got the xbox version and it sucked compared to the PC) so what do you think, should my computer be able to run this game smoothly?Will dragon age 2 run on my computers specs?
Firstly, piracy is never justified, but I'm not here to lecture you about this.
Secondly, your graphic card is over-the-top. You won't have to worry about it.

You do it during character creation. After you pick your character appearance, name, etc. there is a background option where you can pick two presets, or import a saved file from DAO.boston market menu area code look up

Im going to buy a game console and these are the two options.

I prefer you to get xbox because if you don't care blu-ray and like xbox live then Xbox is the better choice. i recommend getting Halo 3 ODST because since alot of your friends have Xbox 360 they could just bring over there controller and pure and lego batman aren't that fun online, and not dragon Age because RPG games aren't my type of game but if it is your type you should get that. Halo 3 ODST is also the highest rated game on that list and Halo online has been the most played game on Xbox live for almost 2 years and it's still one of the number one Xbox live games

I was just wondering if anyone knew if activating your signature edition bonus content at the bioware.com could be used for both my and my husband's gamer accounts on the same xbox. I wanted to go a head and start downloading all the content it came with, but when I got to that and it asked me to sign in on my account there at bioware.com, which uses my email address, it made me worry that because it would be specific like that, that he wouldn't be able to use it. All are great Role playing Games but all have different theme. Mass effect is the best rated of them all and has a amazing storyline but i would recommend buying Me1 before buying Me2. If you want Dragon age you'll be getting a old school RPG with a stunning story. I would reccomend you buy Me1 and Me2.

It felt so awfully short! I'm left wanting more. I really enjoyed it.
So, in my endeavour in doing more, I ask these questions:
Is Mark of The Assasin on Xbox 360?
How do I recruit Isabela and Sebastian?(I was really frustrated when I learned I had missed these two)
Is it possible to get different clothes for your companions, or was that just a mod I saw? I watch DanaDuchy's channel on YouTube often, and she had most of her party wearing cool dark robes and things lol(I love Fenris' high-collared suit).

MotA is downloadable content, available on ANY console. You'll need a net connection for your Xbox, and money/points/credits (whatever Xbox uses) to pay for the download of the game, which isn't that much. When it downloads, install it, and enjoy :)

When you romance a character, their clothing also changes slightly. Fenris gets the Hawke/Amell crest on his belt and a red token around his wrists, Isabela's corset changes, Merril's armour changes, and Anders' robes become black (though I think this happens for Anders whether you romance him or not, as long as you complete his quest - not sure though).
As well, on MotA (haven't played it yet due to broken net connection), I'm pretty sure your party members wear fancy clothing (for reasons I'm sure are explained in-game) and so this is where you might have seen the high-collar suit. If so, you'll be able to enjoy it again when playing MotA as I think they're default clothing for all party members.

Assassin's Creed 2 vs. Left 4 Dead 2 vs. Dragon Age: Origins?
Alright so I want to get one of these games as they seen the funnest out of all the games that have/will be coming out. I have an Xbox 360 with Live btw.
Here is what I have against every game
Assassin's Creed 2 - I rented the first Assassin's Creed, it was hella fun but as soon as I finished it I had no intentions on just running around or replying the story. So I don't think there's any replay-ability in this game. I think it is worth just renting. Convice me that it's better if you think I'm wrong.
Left 4 Dead 2 - I've played the 1st one to the point where I got sick of all the 4 stories and the multiplayer, but I had a blast while it was fresh. I don't know if this one is different but convice me
Dragon Age - Heard it was a fun game with alot of replay-ability with a great story and awesome fun, but the only problem I've heard was that it wasn't as good on the consoles as it is on PC. If anyone has it for Xbox, let me know what you think about it.

I would definitely go with Assassin's Creed 2. The developers at Ubisoft have fixed or removed all of the things that made AC1 repetitive or boring. So you get
- To Swim ;)
- Day / Night Cycle
- Bonus Missions
- Many Varying Primary Mission Types
- Hire Gangs, Thieves and even prostitutes to distract Guards
- Now there are many different types of guards, providing more challenging combat (i think theres a regular guard, archer, these agile guards that can climb stuff like you, and the big, muscle guys and these guards that will try to stab haystacks with halberds when you jump into them =P)
- Economic System (you can buy stuff from shops now :D)
- Unarmed Combat has been improved alot, so you can do alot of cool combos with your fists, and steal enemies weapons and use them against them
- Lots of Weapons (you can now buy lots of cool stuff from the shops including swords, halberds, daggers, maces, Smoke bombs, and even new armour)
- Character Customization (i hear you can dye some parts of Ezio's assassin clothing to suit your taste)
- Amazing areas to explore throughout the game
- Realistic crowds and people in the streets
I'm sure there's Hellz of more stuff in AC2 but i would definitely recommend buying it to see for yourself :D

Left 4 Dead 2, I got the Demo, I didn't particularly like it. I say you just wait and get that for PC. More modability and more fun.

I say go for Assassin's Creed 2, get the other two for PC assuming your PC can handle them.
Im going to have to go with Dragon Age. Great game play especially if you like rpgs, It has great replay ability. What makes the game fun is not only the battles you and your party go through, but the choices you get to make with each individual character. It builds the story and when you make different choices through different playbacks you get different results.

I'm a girl (20yr) and I'm trying to find games that I can play, either PC, Ps 2, or Xbox 360. I don't like to be scared and I don't like first person games. I've tried Fable 2 and loved it! I'm also now playing Dragon Age Origins on the PC and it is by far my most favorite game yet! I have also played and liked Eternal Sonata (X360) and Harvest Moon (GC). On consoles I also like Spyro, and any Mario games. But I'm mainly trying to find more role playing games. Some extras: I like to be a girl, I like to customize her, I like to make distinct choices (good or evil etc) and I would like for it to be a fairly long game. Remember: no scary games! :) I'd love any opinions! Thanks!

DAO is free roam to an extent, there are a number of levels (around the 10 number i think) that are fairly large and you spend a lot of time in each of them. It is a great game with a great storyline, BC2 got nothin on it.

I was just wondering from other people experiences with playing dragon age, origins, and dragon age 2. Is it worth getting and playing? I'm trying to decide which game I should get. It's between Dragon Age: Origins and Sacred 2: Fallen Angels. I want the one that takes like forever to finish and that is fun and never gets old. How can I delete Patches Dragon age origins?

Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age Origins?
Okay well my Birthday is this coming Friday the 15th (WOOT! Happy Early B-day to me) and my mom is giving me $100 bucks to spend. I was thinking of Pre-Ordering Mass Effect 2 from Gamestop because of the bonus. I mean c'mon Gamestop gives the best bonuses. Tough choice. I know next to nothing about Dragon Age Origins except that it is a cool looking game. I would stick with ME2 if you have played the first. I'd get ultra pissed if I accidently heard anything about this game (especially the suicide mission) before I got to play it. Plus, I wanna see if Liara is in game or not. Need help, black emporium dragon age 2?
A couple of days ago I went to Gamestop and bought a new copy of Dragon Age 2, but I was never issues a DLC code for Black Emporium. Today is the first I've ever heard about it. I looked in the game case and there wasn't anything with a code on it, and it says I have to pay to download it when I got to the list of downloadable content. What should I do? Portal 2 is a must. The first was one of the best games released to date, and the second one is going to be very interesting.
I wouldn't recommend DA2 since you didn't play the first. If you have a PC, then why don't you check out the first Crysis? It should be quite cheap by now.

Dragon Age 2 is a ok game it kinda feels like number one but I would wait tell the price drop for it then I would buy it. Assassin Creed Brotherhood is a great game to have I mus say. Also I like the online on it, it may not be the best, but it's really fun to play with friends on it. Alan Wake, well I was not a really big fan of it, too me. You may like it if you like the mystery type of games. GTA: Episodes From Liberty City Is a game that players should at Les try I personally think it was a very good game, but if you hate free reaming games then don't get it, but what you could do is get a demo or try it from a friend, and see if you like it. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 I have a bias about this game I just don't like Naruto so sorry for not telling you if you should get or not because I know nuthen from this game. Mass Effect 2 is a bad @$$ game I must say. If you love RPG's then it is a get game, but try the demo to see if you like it first cause some people don't like the feel of it. GTA: Episodes From Liberty City Is a game that players should at Les try I personally think it was a very good game, but if you hate free reaming games then don't get it, but what you could do is get a demo or try it from a friend, and see if you like it. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 I have a bias about this game I just don't like Naruto so sorry for not telling you if you should get or not because I know nuthen from this game. Mass Effect 2 is a bad @$$ game I must say. If you love RPG's then it is a get game, but try the demo to see if you like it first cause some people don't like the feel of it. Dragon age 2- i only had the demo and found nothing fun about it.
Naruto storm 2- I have it and it is litteraly!!! the best naruto game. The boss fights are epic and really gets you into the game.

Dragon age 2 is a good game but its better to play it on on pc.
Assassins creed 2 is much more fun than assassins creed brotherhood as the controls of assassins creed brotherhood arent great.
