A lot of my friends love playing Dragon Age and are anticipating the new one coming out, so I was wondering if I should give it a shot. As stated in the question, I'm almost 17 and I've only really played games on Nintendo DS and playstation 1/2. It sounds pretty good from what I've heard so far but I don't want to buy it without being totally sure. Oh and I want to buy it on PC. (Since I don't have an Xbox)

Dragon Age Origins is pretty hardcore. Some knowledge of traditional RPG mechanics is recommended. It's a very tactical game and puts you in control of four characters at a time. The game does have a 'casual' difficulty setting for people who have little or no experience playing traditional RPGs.
It's overall a very good game. The music is atmospheric, the game features nice locations, etc. The story is not BioWare's best work but it's decent enough to make you enjoy the 40 hours of gameplay.Dragon Age for a 17y/o not-so-experienced gamer?
Yeah, sure, why not? I think it's a great game and if you really want to play it, then I think you'll get a lot out of it. It's a sort of fantasy rpg, if your into that then yeah it's great. Stick it on easy mode if your stuck :)

Dragon age 1 was good but it might be a little too fiddly and involved for you, it depends on your personality. They are both story based games but there is a lot of stuff like assigning stat points choosing strength or dexterity or picking which armour to wear based on it stats.
Some people just don't have the patience for that sort of thing (my brother doesn't).
Dragon age 2 is more actiony, so it might be easier to just jump straight into number 2. The story does assume you know stuff from number 1, but it isn't vitally important. You could just ask your friend for a quick summary of what the the original game was about and roughly what happened.
The demo has already been released too so you can test it out before you buy it to see if it suits you before the full game is released.

I think it will be very good, if it's a role-playing game and it is distributed by bioware then chances are it will be awesome.

Looking for a good xbox 360 game to play?
I am looking for a new xbox 360 game to play. I played games like
-Fable 2
-Assassin's Creed 1 and 2
Batman Arkham Asylum
Oblivion-didnt like
Dante's inferno
Dragon Age
Star Wars the Force Unleashed
Lost Odyessy

For RPGs, try Fallout 3, it's by the same people of Oblivion, but more of a Fable 2 like feel to it, not as complex as Oblivion, so you're good.
For A turn-based RPG, Final Fantasy 13 is really good, however, be prepared to spend a lot of time on it.
Lost Planet 2 is a good game for you and your buddies. It has a good co-op mode.
Red Dead Redemption is either out or coming out very soon, (within the month). Like GTA in a Wild west setting, where you can do anything and everything basically.
Mass Effect 2 to is a very good game, the story and such are stellar and will get to you even on an emotional level, every small thing that you do can impact the ending of the game. Also if you played the first one, you can import a character, changing the story line again. However, just Mass Effect 2 is a great standalone game.
Also, try getting the DLC for Dragon Age: Origins, Fable 2, and AC2
You maybe interested to hear that Fable 3 and Force Unleashed 2 are announced to come out.
Grand Theft Auto IV is a great game...any call of duty game...

So about a month ago i bought Dragon Age Ultimate Edition. i decided id play through origins with my sibling first before installing the second disc (awakening, dlc's, etc). Well, i put in the 2 disc and it told me error: please insert hard drive. so i plugged in my already xbox formatted external hard drive and that message still keeps coming up! I played it on the xbox box and hated hated hated it horrible graphics and horrible control system and layout. I then got a copy for the PC and it was brilliant the ui style is a little like world of warcraft. My pc is the roughly the same specs as yours and im happy playing it bit glitchy but still you could always upgrade you PC perfect excuse i think :DDragon age Origins Question!?
